There are some openings for groups or individuals in August.
Each camp is simply structured with a daily short devotional after breakfast
and an evening service after supper including group singing. Typically, the staff hosts a game
night, square dance, or other entertainment following the service. Families
are free during the day to do whatever they wish. The cost is $290.00
per adult. Children 3-11 are half price, while those under 3 are free.

Doug Coyle is presently Senior Pastor of Grace Covenant Church, a church he planted in Las Cruces, NM in 2004. Doug completed a Ph.D. at Baylor University in 2006. He enjoys reading, and coaching his boys’ sports teams.
Scott Kerens is Pastor to Young Adults at Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church in Ballwin, Missouri. Scott became a Christian in the eighth grade after seeing the Gospel of grace in the lives of people in his church in Clayton, Missouri. He and his family live in Des Peres, Missouri, and enjoy seeing God in relationships, mountains, and the Church.

Rod Handley is the Founder and President of Character That Counts, and the author of 10 books. Rod previously served as Senior Vice President and COO/CFO for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Rod is a popular retreat and banquet speaker with men’s and women’s groups, singles and married. He averages about 250 speaking engagements each year and is gifted in sharing with all ages. He is a graduate of Central Washington University, a CPA, and worked for Ernst and Whinney prior to joining FCA. He is an ordained minister and served as chaplain for the Seattle SuperSonics from 1986-89. Rod and his wife Janna have four children and reside in Lee’s Summit, MO. |

Tom Givens is Pastor at Large at Oasis Church in Yuma Arizona. He is currently serving as Interim Pastor at Salida First Baptist in Salida, Colorado. He has been a speaker at Hermit Basin and Horn Creek for many years. He enjoys sharing the Scriptures with all ages in an understandable and enjoyable way. |

Hermit Basin is a great place to bring a rental group for a retreat, special meeting, reunion, wedding, etc.! Our facility is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Also, we have several meeting rooms available, as well as recreational facilities. A number of well known organizations regularly use our facilities. These include Grace Community, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Great Bend, Kansas; Mustang Nazarene, Mustang, Oklahoma; Grace Community Church, Tyler, Texas; Westside Freewill Baptist, Wichita, Kansas; Women’s
Aglow; Walk to Emmaus; and Fellowship of Christian Cowboys.
