Some Winter and Spring Dates Are Available for 2011 —May 1-20
Each camp is simply structured with a daily short devotional after breakfast
and an evening service after supper including group singing. Typically, the staff hosts a game
night, square dance, or other entertainment following the service. Families
are free during the day to do whatever they wish. The cost is $300.00
per adult. Children 3-11 are half price, while those under 3 are free.

Speaker: Dr. Larry Lindquist
($300 per adult, children 3-11 are half price; prices are all inclusive)

Dr. Larry Lindquist is a tenured member of the faculty and director of the MA in Leadership Development at Denver Seminary. He teaches courses in Worship, Educational Ministries, Pastoral Ministries, Evangelism & Discipleship, and Leadership Development. For nearly 20 years Larry served as youth pastor, Worship pastor, and Christian education director in Wisconsin, Illinois, and New Jersey. He also taught public school in the suburbs of Chicago. He earned degrees from Trinity International University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Northern Illinois University. Dr. Lindquist served as adjunct professor at Moody Bible Institute and Trinity International University and has written for David C. Cook, Moody Press, and Group Publishing. He continues to speak at churches, national youth conferences, Christian colleges, summer camps, retreats, and conventions. Larry and his wife Cindy live in Littleton, Colorado. |

Dr. Wendell K. Grout, now retired, has pastored churches in Kansas City, Missouri, Minneapolis, and Alberta, Canada. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada and the United States as well as the Board of Governors of Canadian Bible College/Canadian Theological Seminary. More recently he served on the Board of Directors for Prairie Bible Institute.
Practical Bible Exposition has characterized Dr. Grout's pulpit ministry. He is a regular conference speaker in his own denomination and with other evangelical groups across North America. He has also had a unique ministry of encouragement to missionaries and national pastors, more recently in Africa and the Philippines. |

Dr. Kevin Turner and His wife Beth grew up in the Seattle Washington area and enjoyed their first years of married life and pastoral ministry in Kevin's home church for 12 years.( First Presbyterian Church Tacoma, WA). Kevin moved the family to Denver in 2000 to accept a faculty position at Colorado Christian University.
Currently Kevin Chairs the Dept. of Youth Ministry and teaches broadly in the School of Theology. Kevin and Beth graduated from Washington Baptist College, Kevin went on to received his M-Div. from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland Oregon and his doctorate from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson Mississippi. His interests include scuba diving, reading C.S. Lewis and the Inklings, listening to baseball games and training youth workers. Kevin and Beth have been married since 1984 and have two children Paul and Madeleine. |

Hermit Basin is a great place to bring a rental group for a retreat, special meeting, reunion, wedding, etc.! Our facility is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Also, we have several meeting rooms available, as well as recreational facilities. A number of well known organizations regularly use our facilities. These include Grace Community, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Great Bend, Kansas; Mustang Nazarene, Mustang, Oklahoma; Grace Community Church, Tyler, Texas; Westside Freewill Baptist, Wichita, Kansas; Women’s
Aglow; Walk to Emmaus; and Fellowship of Christian Cowboys.
