From Denver or Colorado Springs

  • I-25 to South Academy Exit – West to Hwy #115 South
  • Hwy #115 through Penrose to Florence
  • At Florence, left at Carls’s Jr. onto Hwy #67
  • Hwy #67 to Wetmore, right at Wetmore onto Hwy #96
  • Hwy #96 will turn into Main Street of Westcliffe
  • Go all the way through Westcliffe to 2nd Street – turn left
  • When 2nd Street comes to a “T”, turn right onto Hermit Road
  • From here, all turns are marked by a Hermit Basin sign
  • Go 2 miles on Hermit Basin road to Road #137 / Kettle Lane – turn left
  • Take first right onto Road #150 / Muddy Lane
  • Go straight toward the mountains about 4 miles


From Pueblo

  • Highway #96 West from Pueblo through Wetmore to Westcliffe
  • Hwy #96 will turn into Main Street of Westcliffe
  • Go all the way through Westcliffe to 2nd Street – turn left at Jones Theater
  • When 2nd Street comes to a “T”, turn right onto Hermit Road
  • From here, all turns are marked by a Hermit Basin sign
  • Go 2 miles on Hermit Basin road to Road #137 / Kettle Lane – turn left
  • Take first right onto Road #150 / Muddy Lane
  • Go straight toward the mountains about 4 miles


From Walsenburg

  • I-25 North to Walsenburg
  • At Walsenburg, Highway 69 to Westcliffe
  • Just as you get to the south side of town, watch for the Shell, turn left onto Hermit Lane
  • From here, all turns are marked by a Hermit Basin sign
  • Go 2 miles on Hermit Basin road to Road #137 / Kettle Lane – turn left
  • Take first right onto Road #150 / Muddy Lane
  • Go straight toward the mountains about 4 miles
